High School Parent Workshop: Power of Language and How We See the World

The Power of Language and How We See the World -
Understanding the CORE Program

Communicating Our Real Experience (CORE) is designed to bring awareness to and address the social, emotional, mental, and health issues that impact the lives of high school students. In a supportive and structured learning environment, students look at the use of their everyday language, lyrics in the music and the social media world and its influence on their everyday life. This workshop is for parents/guardians of METCO high school students. Come learn what CORE is all about and what adults can do to support their children at home.
Presenter: Kendell Jones, METCO Social worker & Adjustment Counselor
