Drama Exploration with Nik Walker - Open to Brookline METCO Middle and High School Students

By Dr. Keith Lezama

The METCO program and Performing Arts Department have collaborated with Nik Walker, a Brookline Graduate (Class of 2006), to provide METCO students a 12-week Drama Exploration course that will explore character development, improvisation and group scene work while creating original pieces about themes relevant to their life and the world around them. Together they will discuss students' interests and concerns, current events of importance, and what is meaningful and relevant to them. Students will learn to bring their ideas to life through creating characters, expressing ideas and emotions, and developing situations and original scenes. The work will culminate in a series of short scenes.

12-week Course with 2 Sessions

Session I: 6th through 8th graders

Session II: High school students.

Group will meet virtually once a week after school from March 3 through May 26

Please encourage your METCO students to register for this amazing experience.
